You wanta start something?

The joy of starting things. And, it’s Free Story Month.

You know the joy of starting a new creation — whether it’s a poem or computer program or a freshly-painted room, a great meal or a painting — is a big one. Maybe that’s why some people specialize in starting things. Well, starting is the indispensable first step.

This month’s free story, “Dark Chocolate,” comes from The Emperor’s Golden Carp and Other Stories. It’s a tale about starting things, and about how a need for change sometimes has unexpected effects.

A little getaway
here and there
never hurts.
